Well, if you thought that the Piku actress was dying to work with Sultanstar and that she was willing to do any role then you are absolutely WRONG!
After signing her first film opposite Salman Khan, Deepika Padukone struck off one of the starry names from her wishlist. But the actress agreed to do Kabir Khan’s untitled film only on certain conditions that she put forth ahead of giving the project a green signal. Deepika has been riding high on success for the last two years. The actress has a good balance of box office hits and critical successes under her belt. Ms Padukone has consistently doled out hits after hits for sometime now. And after having such a hit stint the actress signing a Salman movie meant that there’s no way she can go wrong. Currently Deepika only has her Hollywood film xXx: The Return Of Xander Cage opposite Vin Diesel. But we hear that even when Deepika signed this movie opposite Salman she was not willing to compromise on work.
A source close to the movie revealed, “Deepika signed this film with Salman on a condition that Kabir Khan promised her a meaty role. She did not want a small part, which is typical for any Salman movie. She has clearly asked Kabir to be careful of her part in the film.”
Going by Deepika’s last few interviews where the actress has spoken fondly of Salman and insisted that she dreams of working with the Dabangg Khan one would think that she would be okay playing any part. But seems like the actress keeps her work space strictly professional and is not willing to budge her stance even if it means that she gets an opportunity to share screen space with her favourite stars.
Well, Deepika was initially being considered for Prem Ratan Dhan Payo and even Sultan oppositeSalman Khan, however the films went to Sonam Kapoor and Anushka Sharma respectively. With Kabir’s film fans will finally get to see these two extremely good looking stars together on screen. So whatever the conditions are we just hope that together this trio manages to put out an entertaining dhamaakedaar film, right guys?
