On day 2, Hamari Adhuri Kahani raked in Rs 5.15 crore at the Indian box office…
Emraan Hashmi and Vidya Balan’s last film together Ghanchakkar failed miserably at the box office and now the two are back with Mohit Suri’s much-awaited directorial venture Hamari Adhuri Kahani. Well, expectations were high from this one as the promos looked promising but sadly this one too hasn’t really packed a solid punch at the box office. Co-starring Rajkummar Rao, Emraan and Vidya’s intense love story has only managed to collect Rs 10.19 crore in the first two days. On day 1 (Friday), Suri’s film minted Rs 5.04 crore and on day 2 (Saturday) though the figures went up, the difference wasn’t a drastic one. Hamari Adhuri Kahani grossed Rs 5..15 crore on Saturday thus bringing its two day domestic total to Rs 10.19 crore.
Trade portal Boxofficeindia reported, “Hamari Adhuri Kahani failed to make any headway at the box office on Saturday as collections were similar to Friday. The business on Saturday was dominated by Jurassic World which jumped around 35-40% from the previous day. The fate ofHamari Adhuri Kahani has been sealed with the dull business on Saturday.”
So far Emraan and Vidya’s latest outing hasn’t got cash registers jingling and it won’t be surprising if this trend continues in the coming days. But will Hamari Adhuri Kahani clock in a decent lifetime collection? Let’s wait and watch!
